Community Policing

Community policing, or community oriented-policing, is a strategy of policing that focuses on building ties and working closely with members of the communities. The main idea is to allow police to feel like the public can trust them.

The District Police Sargodha believes in smart and efficient policing for the smooth functioning of a society. In order to turn our dream of facilitating the public into a reality, we have taken the following measures:

Muhafiz Committee

Muhafiz Committee is established by DPO Sargodha. The main aim of forming this committee is to cooperation of Public to the police staff to reduce the crime rate and take appropriate actions against the offenders & criminals. Each police station has members of this committee.

Reconciliatory / Masalhati Committee

Masalhati Committee is also established by DPO Sargodha during his posting. The main aim of forming this committee is to provide assistance to the police staff to reduce the crime rate and take appropriate actions against the offenders.
The members of this Masalhati committee investigate the cases along with the police staff for providing immediate assistance to local public for their relevant problems.

Aman / Peace Committee

Aman Committee is also established in Sargodha. The main aim of forming this committee is the cooperation of different sects among each other . Each police station has members of this committee.

Thikri Pehra 

Thikri Pahra was introduced by DPO Sargodha. Thikri Pahra is working with the assistance of patrolling police to control crime in the District.

Citizen Police Liaison Committee

The foundation of Citizen Police Liaison Committee aims to establish a peaceful and crime free society, to eliminate the gaps between police and public, and to upgrade and modernize the police services. It is a non-political statutory body representing all segments of the society. It is working under section 168, Police Order 2002, and is coordinating with the district police in efficient community policing. As a crime free society is not possible without the help and cooperation of public, we highly appreciate the public efforts towards a peaceful community. The committee consists of 35 eminent citizens from all walks of life serving as a think-tank for the Community of Mianwali.
